Custom Apparel Manufacturing
Cut and Sew Manufacturer
Linushi is a full-package cut and sew manufacturer building custom apparel from raw fabric — your patterns, your fabrics, your labels — with in-house pattern making, sampling, printing and embroidery. Low 30-piece MOQ, OEM/ODM and private-label production, shipped worldwide from our Sialkot factory.
The Method
What Is Cut and Sew Manufacturing?
Cut and sew manufacturing is the process of building a garment from raw fabric: the mill’s fabric is sourced and approved, cut into panels against your pattern, then sewn, finished and quality-checked into the completed piece. Nothing starts from a pre-made blank — the silhouette, fit, construction and branding are all developed to your specification.
That is the difference that matters to a brand. Blanks and basic private label start from a garment the factory already makes; cut and sew starts from your tech pack, so you own the fit and the fabric handfeel. At Linushi we run the full package — pattern making, fabric and trim sourcing, sampling, bulk sewing and finishing — under one roof, so a design doesn’t get passed between three vendors before it ships.
It’s the foundation of premium custom sportswear, streetwear, activewear and everyday basics — anywhere a distinct fit or an original silhouette is the point of the product.
Production Workflow
How the Cut and Sew Process Works
Every project moves through the same disciplined sequence — each stage locked and signed off before the next begins, so quality is built in rather than inspected in at the end.
Tech Pack & Pattern
We turn your tech pack or reference sample into a graded, production-ready pattern — measurements, seam types, trims and logo placement all specified. No tech pack yet? Our team helps build one.
Fabric & Sampling
We source and approve fabric and trims, then make a fit sample. Proto, fit and pre-production samples are revised until the fit, drape and construction are exactly right.
Cutting & Marker
Approved fabric is marker-planned for minimal waste and cut into panels — by hand or machine — to the finalised pattern, with shrinkage and colourfastness already confirmed on the sample.
Sew, Finish & QC
Panels are stitched, finished, labelled and pressed, then run through multi-point quality control before folding, poly-bagging and worldwide dispatch.

Choose the Right Model
Cut and Sew vs Private Label vs Blanks
These aren’t competing options so much as different tools for different stages. Here’s an honest breakdown so you pick the one that matches your product and your budget.
Cut & Sew
Built from your own pattern and fabric. Full control of silhouette, fit, construction and branding. Needs a tech pack and sampling time, but produces a product no one else has. Best for signature streetwear, technical activewear and original fits.
Private Label
Starts from an existing base garment that you customise — fabric, colour, fit tweaks, labels and packaging. Faster and lower development cost, with less control over silhouette. Best for quick launches and proven basic styles.
Blanks
Pre-made stock garments you decorate. Cheapest and fastest route, with no control over fit or construction. Best for merch drops and low-risk market tests before committing to development.
Linushi runs all three under one roof, so you can start on blanks or private label to test a market, then move your winners to full cut and sew — without changing factories.

Questions
Cut and Sew FAQ
What is cut and sew manufacturing?
Cut and sew manufacturing builds a garment from raw fabric rather than a pre-made blank. The factory sources and approves fabric, cuts it into panels against your pattern, then sews, finishes and quality-checks it into the completed piece — giving you full control over fit, fabric and construction.
What’s the difference between cut and sew and private label?
Private label starts from a base garment the factory already produces, which you customise with your fabric, colour, fit tweaks and labels. Cut and sew builds the garment entirely from your own pattern and specifications. Private label is faster and cheaper to develop; cut and sew gives a unique silhouette and full control.
What is your minimum order (MOQ) for cut and sew?
Our standard MOQ is 30 pieces per style — one of the lowest full-package minimums in the industry. That’s low enough to test a new design and scalable to large production runs as your brand grows.
How long does a cut and sew order take?
Sampling usually takes about 5–10 working days, and bulk production typically runs 4–8 weeks after sample sign-off, depending on the garment, fabric and quantity. We confirm exact lead times with your quote.
Can I supply my own fabric, or do you source it?
Both. As a full-package factory we source and approve fabric and trims for you, so you don’t need to handle materials yourself. If you already have a preferred mill or fabric, we’re happy to work with your supplied materials too.
Do you make a sample before bulk production?
Yes. We produce fit and pre-production samples — with print and embroidery strike-offs — before any bulk cutting begins. You approve fit, fabric and branding first, so there are no surprises once the line runs.
Do I need a tech pack to start?
A tech pack makes production faster and more accurate, but it isn’t a barrier. If you only have sketches, a reference garment or an idea, our team helps develop the tech pack and pattern with you before sampling.
What garments and fabrics can you produce?
We cut and sew hoodies, tees, sweatpants, activewear, outerwear, jerseys, uniforms and accessories, in fabrics from lightweight cotton jersey to 400+ GSM French terry, fleece, performance polyester, twill and denim — with printing, embroidery and wash finishing available in-house.
