Shorts Fabrics & GSM Options
Fabric weight decides how your shorts feel, drape and sell. We source knits and wovens across 120–400 GSM and confirm weight, composition and hand-feel at the swatch stage.
Performance Mesh & Poly · 120–160 GSM
Bird’s-eye mesh, micro-interlock and poly-spandex knits for gym, basketball and running shorts. Moisture-wicking, quick-dry and sublimation-ready, with optional brief or compression liners.
Jersey & French Terry · 240–300 GSM
Combed cotton jersey and loopback French terry for everyday and lounge shorts — a smooth face for printing, breathable loops inside. Pre-shrunk and enzyme-washed for a stable, soft hand.
Fleece, Twill & Heavyweight · 300–400 GSM
Brushed-back fleece for premium heavyweight sweat shorts, plus 240–300 GSM cotton twill and canvas for cargo and chino styles. Garment-dyed and acid wash finishes available.
Blends, recycled polyester and organic cotton are available on request — every fabric is confirmed with a physical swatch before bulk.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom shorts?
Linushi is a shorts manufacturer with a 30-piece minimum order per design. You can split those 30 pieces across sizes within one style and colorway, which makes it practical to test a new drop before scaling into larger bulk runs.
How much does it cost to manufacture custom shorts?
Cost depends on fabric type and GSM, construction complexity such as liners, pockets and waistband style, decoration methods, order quantity and shipping destination. Heavier fleece and technical poly-spandex cost more per unit than basic jersey, and unit prices drop as quantities rise. Send your design for an exact, itemized quote.
Do I need a tech pack to start production?
No. A tech pack speeds things up, but you can start with sketches, reference photos or a physical sample you want to improve. Our team can build a complete production tech pack with you, covering measurements, fabric specs, trims and decoration placements.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Each sample round takes 7–14 days depending on fabric availability and decoration. Most programs are approved within 2–3 rounds. After sample approval, bulk production typically takes 3–5 weeks, plus shipping time to the USA, UK or Europe.
What GSM should I choose for my shorts?
As a rule of thumb: 120–160 GSM polyester or mesh for gym, basketball and running shorts; 240–300 GSM cotton jersey or French terry for everyday and lounge styles; and 300–400 GSM brushed fleece for premium heavyweight sweat shorts. We send physical swatches so you can feel the weight before deciding.
Can you private label my shorts with my branding?
Yes. Every order can ship fully private-labeled with your woven waistband or back labels, printed size and care labels, hangtags and branded polybags. Nothing on the finished garment references Linushi — the product is entirely your brand’s.
Do you ship to the USA, UK and Europe?
Yes. We ship worldwide, with the USA, UK and Europe as our primary markets. Orders move via tracked DHL or FedEx for smaller runs and air or sea freight for larger volumes, with export documentation handled on our side.
