Custom Polo Shirt Manufacturing

Custom polo shirt manufacturing means your polos are cut and sewn from scratch to your own fit, fabric and trim spec — not relabeled blanks with a logo stitched on.

You choose the knit and GSM, the collar and placket construction, the fit block and every trim. We develop the pattern, source the fabric, and run full cut-and-sew production under one roof — working from your tech pack, a reference sample, or sketches our tech pack service turns into full specs.

The result is a polo no competitor can order from a catalog: your silhouette, your handfeel, your neck label.

Knits & Weights

Polo Fabrics & GSM Options

The knit defines the polo — piqué, jersey and performance fabrics at the same GSM wear and print completely differently.

PQ

Cotton Piqué

The classic textured honeycomb knit. 180–220 GSM is the sweet spot for retail and corporate polos; 220–280 GSM for heavyweight, premium builds. Knitted from 40s–60s combed cotton, with matched-fibre 1×1 or 2×2 rib collars that keep their shape.

JY

Jersey & Interlock

Smooth, soft single jersey at 160–200 GSM reads as a premium tee with a collar — the go-to base for print-led fashion polos. Interlock double knit adds body, stability and a cleaner, more premium drape.

PF

Performance & Blends

Moisture-wicking polyester and poly-spandex knits at 150–200 GSM for golf, team and activewear polos, plus 60/40 and CVC cotton-poly blends built to survive 100+ uniform wash cycles with minimal shrinkage.

Every fabric can be pre-shrunk, enzyme-washed, mercerized, garment-dyed or given an acid wash finish — with body, collar and tipping yarns Pantone-matched before bulk.

Design Options

Polo Styles, Fits & Customization

Every element of the garment is open to specification.

  • Fits: slim, regular, relaxed and boxy oversized blocks for men, women and unisex.
  • Collars: 1×1 and 2×2 rib knit, self-fabric, flat knit, tipped or contrast-stripe.
  • Plackets: two- and three-button, hidden, Johnny collar, quarter-zip and full-zip.
  • Sleeves & cuffs: short or long sleeve with ribbed, tipped or hemmed cuffs.
  • Construction: side vents, taped back neck, twin-needle hems and reinforced shoulder seams.
  • Buttons & trims: corozo, metal, rubber or engraved logo buttons.
  • Colour: Pantone matching, yarn-dyed stripes, colour blocking and tipping.
  • Sizing: XS–5XL with grading tuned to US and EU fits.
  • Weights: 160–280 GSM across piqué, jersey, interlock and performance knits.
  • Finishes: moisture-wicking, anti-pilling, UV-protective and antimicrobial treatments.

Make It Yours

Branding & Decoration for Custom Polos

PR

Print

Screen printing for bold graphics, DTG for detailed artwork on jersey, heat transfer vinyl for names and numbers, and all-over sublimation on performance polos.

ST

Stitch

Flat and 3D puff embroidery — the premium standard for polo chest logos, especially on piqué, which holds stitches cleanly — plus tonal thread work, appliqué and woven patches.

LP

Label & Pack

Woven neck labels, care labels, custom hangtags, polybags and retail packaging — a complete private label finish, no factory branding anywhere.

From Spec To Shipment

How Polo Manufacturing Works

Tech Pack & Spec

We review your tech pack, sample or sketches and lock fabric, fit, trims and decoration together.

Fabric & Costing

We source the fabric to spec, confirm GSM and composition, and issue a transparent per-unit quote.

Sampling & Fit

Pre-production samples in 7–14 days per round; most polos lock fit, collar and decoration within 2–3 rounds.

Bulk, QC & Ship

Bulk runs in 3–5 weeks with inline and final inspection of stitching, sizing and collars, then ships worldwide.

Choose Your Route

Custom vs Blanks vs Print-On-Demand

BL

Decorated Blanks

Fast and cheap to start: buy wholesale polos, add a logo. But the fit, fabric and collar are the same ones every other brand buys, and you rarely control the neck label.

POD

Print-On-Demand

Zero inventory and no upfront risk — useful for testing artwork. The trade-offs: the highest cost per unit, a thin catalog of polo styles, and no say in GSM or construction.

CM

Custom Manufacturing

Your own fit block, fabric, trims and labels at a per-unit cost that improves with volume. It takes an MOQ and sampling time — but it’s the only route to a product competitors can’t reorder.

Many brands validate on blanks or POD first, then graduate to custom once demand is proven — and at 30 pieces per design, that step is smaller than most founders expect.

Good To Know

Polo Manufacturing FAQs

What is the minimum order quantity for custom polo shirts?

Linushi is a low-MOQ polo shirt manufacturer: our minimum order is 30 pieces per design, split across sizes — low enough to launch a first colourway without overstocking, and the same line scales to bulk reorders.

What GSM is best for a polo shirt?

180–220 GSM is the sweet spot for most retail and corporate piqué polos, balancing structure, opacity and breathability. Jersey polos sit around 160–200 GSM, performance knits 150–200 GSM, and heavyweight piqué 220–280 GSM.

What is the difference between piqué and jersey polo shirts?

Piqué is a textured honeycomb knit that breathes well, holds the collar’s shape and takes embroidery cleanly — the classic polo look. Jersey is smooth and soft with more drape, closer to a premium t-shirt with a collar — the better base for print-led designs.

Do I need a tech pack to start production?

No. A tech pack speeds things up, but we can also work from a reference sample, sketches or clear photos with measurements — our team builds the missing patterns, grading and trim sheets during development.

How long do sampling and bulk production take?

Each sample round takes 7–14 days, and most polos are approved within 2–3 rounds. Bulk production runs 3–5 weeks after sample approval, plus shipping by air or sea.

Can you produce fully private label polo shirts?

Yes — woven neck labels, care labels, hangtags and branded packaging, with no factory branding anywhere. Your designs, patterns and artwork remain your intellectual property.

Do you ship to the USA, UK and Europe?

Yes. Most orders ship to the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU by express courier or air freight, with sea freight for larger volumes and tracking on every shipment.

How much do custom polo shirts cost?

Unit price depends on fabric and GSM, yarn count, decoration methods, trims and order quantity. Send your design for a free, itemised quote; larger quantities lower the per-piece cost.

Ready to Develop Your Polo Line?

Send your design, tech pack or reference sample for an itemised quote with free mockups — production starts at 30 pieces.
