Fabric decides how a rash guard performs, prints and lasts. These are the constructions we run most; lab-tested UPF-rated and recycled options can be sourced on request.
Poly-Spandex 88/12
150–210 GSM. The workhorse for surf, swim and gym styles: four-way stretch, quick-dry, chlorine and UV resistant, and the ideal base for all-over sublimation.
Nylon-Spandex 80/20
180–220 GSM. Softer hand-feel, higher abrasion resistance and excellent stretch recovery — the premium pick where comfort against skin matters most. Recycled nylon available.
Compression Grappling Knits
210–260 GSM. Heavier builds for BJJ, MMA and no-gi wear, with antimicrobial finishes, power-mesh underarm panels and the density to survive grip and mat friction.
Finishes across all bases: moisture-wicking, quick-dry, antimicrobial, anti-pill, chlorine-resistant and recycled poly or nylon yarns.

Blank Rash Guards
Fast and cheap for one-off events, but fit, fabric and GSM are locked to what the blank supplier stocks, decoration is limited to logo placements, and any competitor can buy the identical garment.
Print-On-Demand
Zero inventory risk, but POD can’t produce true compression knits, hem grippers, flatlock construction or graded performance fits — and per-unit costs stay too high to wholesale.
Custom Manufacturing
Your fit, your fabric weight, edge-to-edge sublimation and full private label. A few weeks slower than blanks, but the garment is genuinely yours — and margins improve with every reorder.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom rash guards?
Linushi is a low-MOQ rash guard manufacturer: bulk production starts at 30 pieces per design, with mixed sizes inside one colourway. Reorders of an approved style can be smaller, and larger runs get tiered pricing.
How much does it cost to manufacture a custom rash guard?
Unit price depends on fabric type and GSM, panel count, decoration method, trims and order volume, so there is no honest flat rate. Send your design or tech pack and we return an itemised, line-by-line quote.
Do I need a tech pack to start production?
No. A tech pack speeds development up, but you can start with sketches, reference photos or a sample garment you like. Our team builds the spec sheet, pattern and graded size set with you before sampling begins.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Each sample round takes 7–14 days, and most rash guard programs reach approval within 2–3 rounds. Bulk production then runs 3–5 weeks after sample sign-off, plus transit time to your market.
Which fabric and GSM are best for a rash guard?
Poly-spandex around 150–210 GSM suits surf, swim and gym rash guards because it sublimates beautifully and resists chlorine and UV. Nylon-spandex at 180–220 GSM gives a softer hand, while grappling styles step up to 210–260 GSM compression knits with antimicrobial finishes.
Can you produce private label rash guards with my branding?

What is the difference between a BJJ rash guard and a surf rash guard?
A BJJ or MMA rash guard uses heavier compression knits, usually 210–260 GSM, with reinforced flatlock seams and an anti-ride-up hem gripper to survive grip and mat friction. A surf or swim rash guard is lighter at roughly 150–200 GSM and prioritises sun protection and chlorine or saltwater resistance. We manufacture both from the same 30-piece MOQ.
