What Are Custom Clothing Hangtags?
A custom clothing hangtag is a printed card-stock swing tag attached to a garment with string, ribbon, a safety pin or a plastic seal — carrying the brand logo on the front and price, size, fabric, care details or a QR code on the back. Unlike a sewn-in woven label, a hangtag sits on the outside of the product and is removed by the customer after purchase, which makes it the first physical touchpoint of your brand on the rail.
At Linushi we treat hangtags as part of private-label finishing, not a standalone print job. Because we manufacture the garment itself, we can colour-match the tag to your collection, strike off a sample, print double-sided in full CMYK, add foil, emboss or spot UV, drill and string each tag, and fasten it to your hoodies, tees or activewear on the production floor — so your order lands retail-ready in one shipment.

You send a logo or finished file; we set it up print-ready in CMYK at 300 dpi with bleed and return a digital proof for sign-off — front and back.
Stock & Finish Strike-Off
We confirm card stock, GSM, shape and finishes — foil, emboss, soft-touch or spot UV — and produce a physical strike-off so you approve the real feel before the run.
Print, Foil & Die-Cut
Tags are printed double-sided, foil-stamped or embossed where specified, then die-cut to shape and drilled with your chosen hole or badge slot.
String, Seal & QC
We add eyelets, string, cord or seal tags, run a quality check on colour and registration, then fasten the tags to your garments ready for shipping.

Custom Hangtag FAQs
What’s the difference between a hangtag and a label?
A hangtag is an external paper swing tag attached with string or a seal and removed after purchase — it carries price, branding and product story. A label (woven or printed) is sewn permanently inside the garment and carries size, fibre composition and care instructions. Most brands use both, and Linushi can supply them as one matched set.
What is the minimum order quantity for hangtags?
Our standard MOQ is 30 pieces, which lets you tag a small launch drop or test collection. From there we scale smoothly to full bulk production at better per-unit pricing.
What materials and card stocks can you use?
Premium 250–400 GSM card stock (roughly 14pt–24pt) in bright white, natural, soft-touch or cotton, plus eco options like kraft, 100% recycled and FSC-certified board. Coated stocks suit vibrant images; uncoated and kraft are best when you want a natural feel or need to write on the tag.
What finishes do you offer — foil, embossing, spot UV?
Yes — gold, silver and custom foil stamping, embossing and debossing, spot UV, and matte, gloss or soft-touch lamination. These premium finishes raise perceived value and are popular for streetwear and boutique fashion tags.
Can you attach the hangtags to my garments?
Yes. Because we manufacture the apparel too, we drill, string and fasten each tag to your garments in-house and ship the order retail-ready. We also supply tags loose with string or seal tags if you prefer to attach them yourself.
What should I include on my hangtag design?
Typically your logo or brand name on the front, and on the back any mix of price, size, fabric composition, care instructions, a QR code or social handle, and a short brand line. We can also add barcodes, SKUs and per-tag variable data for retail.
Do you provide string, cord or seal tags?
Yes — poly-cotton string, ribbon and cord in multiple colours, safety pins, and branded plastic seal or loop tags. We can pre-thread and pre-fasten everything so your order arrives ready for the shelf.
Do you offer eco-friendly hangtags and design help?
Yes. We run kraft, recycled and FSC-certified stocks with soy or water-based inks for sustainable branding. If you only have a logo, our team will create a free mockup and set your file up print-ready in CMYK at 300 dpi before production.
