Tank Top Manufacturer for Fitness, Yoga & Athleisure Brands
Linushi is a custom tank top manufacturer for fitness, activewear and athleisure labels — building gym tanks, muscle tanks and racerbacks in real performance knits, cut and sewn to your fit block from a 30-piece MOQ, with full private label and worldwide shipping.
Custom Development
Custom Tank Top Manufacturing, Built to Your Fit
A great tank top is simple to look at and easy to get wrong — gaping armholes, straps that stretch out, and fabric that goes sheer under gym lighting are the quiet failures that turn a launch into a pile of returns.
We build tanks the way a performance brand needs them: from your tech pack or a reference sample, in the fabric and weight you specify, with a fit block graded to your customer. Straps, armhole depth, body length and neckline are developed to spec — not pulled from a generic blank and relabelled — and every sample is fit-checked before bulk.
Launching a first capsule or adding a matching tank to a collection, our cut-and-sew manufacturing and tech pack services take you from sketch to shelf-ready product with your own labels sewn in.
Fabrics & GSM
Performance Fabrics & Weights That Actually Suit a Tank
Fabric is where tank tops win or fail. We spec real knits at real weights — light enough to breathe, dense enough to stay opaque and hold shape. Typical ranges below; exact composition and GSM confirmed on your tech pack.
Poly-Spandex Performance Knit
The workhorse for gym and training tanks — 88/12 or 85/15 polyester-spandex at roughly 130–180 GSM. Four-way stretch, moisture-wicking, quick-dry, and sublimation-friendly for all-over colour and print.
Nylon-Spandex & Recycled Blends
A softer, silkier hand for fitted and premium athletic tanks, around 160–200 GSM, with UV-protective and recycled options — ideal where a smooth, next-to-skin feel matters.
Cotton, Tri-Blend & Ribbed
For athleisure and casual crossover tanks — combed cotton, cotton-poly and tri-blends at 160–200 GSM, plus ribbed cotton for a fitted look. Lighter 140–160 GSM for hot-weather styles; 180 GSM-plus for structure.
Finishes on request: moisture-wicking, quick-dry, anti-pill, brushed hand-feel and recycled poly/nylon. Light colours get an opacity check, and we test stretch recovery so shape holds wash after wash.
Styles & Fits
Cuts, Construction & Customization
Pick a silhouette off the list or bring your own pattern — every detail below is built to spec across men’s, women’s and unisex sizing.
- Cuts & silhouettes: classic straight, muscle / dropped-armhole, racerback, fitted athletic, cropped, longline, stringer, boxy oversized.
- Necklines: crew, scoop, deep-scoop, V-neck and high-neck options.
- Armholes & straps: bound armholes (not just hemmed), reinforced strap stress points, wide, thin or adjustable straps.
- Seams: flatlock, overlock and coverstitch, with side-seam or tubular-body construction.
- Fit & sizing: XS–3XL or fully custom size grading to your fit block and measurement chart.
- Colour: Pantone (TPX/TCX) matching, custom colourways and dye-to-order lots.
Branding & Decoration
Make It Unmistakably Yours
Athletic screen printing, DTG, heat-transfer and reflective graphics, plus all-over dye sublimation on poly bases for edge-to-edge colour.
Stitch
Clean chest and hem embroidery and applied silicone/TPU logos. We’ll advise honestly where dense stitching doesn’t belong — high-stretch panels are better branded with print than heavy embroidery.
Label & Pack
Woven or printed neck labels, tagless heat-transfer labels, hang tags and custom polybags — full private label so the finished tank carries only your brand.
The Build
How Tank Top Manufacturing Works
Tech Pack & Reference
We start from your tech pack or a reference sample, locking fit, measurements, strap and armhole detail before anything is cut.
Fabric & Costing
You choose the knit, composition and GSM; we source the fabric, confirm trims and return a transparent per-unit cost.
Sampling & Fit
A fit sample comes back in 7–14 days per round. We adjust until the armholes, drape and length are right — usually within 2–3 rounds.
Bulk, QC & Ship
Approved sample goes to bulk, typically 3–5 weeks, with inline and final QC before we ship to the USA, UK, Europe or worldwide.
Choose Your Route
Custom vs Blanks vs Print-on-Demand
All three exist for a reason. Here’s the honest trade-off so you pick the one that fits your brand stage.
Custom Cut & Sew
Full control of fit, fabric, GSM, armhole construction and branding, from a 30-piece MOQ. The route for a real performance product and a fit that’s yours alone.
Printed Blanks
Faster and cheaper up front, but you inherit the blank’s fit, fabric and weight. Stretch printing is limited and construction can’t change. Fine for events, not for a signature fit.
Print-on-Demand
No minimums, but no performance knits, no custom cut, no true private label, and limited fabric. Good for validating art — not for a fitness line customers re-buy.
Most brands test demand, then move to custom the moment fit and fabric become part of the pitch. At a 30-piece MOQ, that jump doesn’t require a warehouse of stock.

FAQ
Tank Top Manufacturing FAQs
What is the minimum order quantity?
As a custom tank top manufacturer, Linushi starts at a 30-piece minimum per style and colourway. That low MOQ lets new brands develop a fully custom tank — your fit, fabric and branding — without committing to a large first run.
What affects the price of a custom tank top?
Cost depends on fabric type and GSM, fit complexity (a racerback or fitted athletic cut takes more pattern work than a basic drop-shoulder), decoration method, order size, and destination. We give a transparent per-unit quote once your spec is set — we never publish placeholder prices before seeing the design.
Do I need a tech pack to order?
A tech pack helps, but it isn’t required. We can develop your tank from a reference sample, sketches, measurements or a garment you already like. If you don’t have a tech pack, our team can build one with you as part of development.
How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Each sample round takes about 7–14 days, and most designs are approved within 2–3 rounds. Bulk production typically runs 3–5 weeks after sample sign-off, depending on quantity, fabric and decoration.
What fabric and GSM is best for gym tank tops?
For gym and training tanks, a polyester-spandex performance knit around 130–180 GSM gives the best mix of moisture-wicking, stretch and quick-dry. Nylon-spandex around 160–200 GSM suits softer, premium styles, while cotton and cotton-poly blends at 160–200 GSM work well for casual and athleisure tanks.
Can you produce private label tank tops?
Yes. Every tank can ship with your woven or printed neck labels, tagless heat-transfer labels, hang tags and custom packaging. All patterns, prints and designs remain your intellectual property.
Do you ship to the USA, UK and Europe?
Yes. We ship worldwide, with regular delivery to the USA, UK and across Europe. We handle export documentation so your bulk order clears customs smoothly.
How do you keep tank tops from going sheer or losing shape?
Two things: weight and construction. We spec fabric dense enough to stay opaque under stretch and run an opacity check on light colours, then finish armholes with binding rather than a simple hem and reinforce strap stress points. We also test stretch recovery so the tank holds its shape after repeated washing.
