Custom Development

Custom Sports Bra Manufacturer — Built to Your Spec

A sports bra manufacturer should build your design, not relabel a blank. Linushi develops each program from your tech pack or reference sample: your fit block and size grading, your support construction — bands, straps, linings, pads, closures — and your performance fabric, produced through full cut and sew manufacturing.

That matters for sports bras more than almost any other garment. Support comes from engineering: underband tension, strap geometry, power mesh placement, and cup construction all decide whether a bra holds through a sprint session or fails in the first wash. We prototype those details with you round by round until the fit is signed off.

No tech pack yet? Our tech pack services turn sketches or reference photos into factory-ready specs, so first-time founders can start from an idea alone.

Performance Fabrics

Sports Bra Fabrics & GSM Options

The number one gap on most manufacturer pages: real fabric numbers. Here are the constructions we run most, with the weights that actually deliver each support level.

NY

Nylon-Spandex Knits

Around 80/20 nylon-spandex at 180–260 GSM — the premium main-fabric choice. Buttery hand feel, strong four-way stretch and recovery. Denser 15–25% spandex knits at the top of the range drive high impact compression; lighter weights suit studio and low impact styles.

PL

Polyester-Spandex

Typically 85–90% polyester with 10–15% spandex at 180–240 GSM. Best-in-class moisture-wicking and quick-dry performance, and the go-to base for all-over sublimation prints. Recycled polyester and recycled nylon options available on request.

PM

Power Mesh & Linings

Support layers of 120–170 GSM nylon-spandex power mesh line fronts, backs, and side wings to cut bounce without bulk. Removable pads, molded cups, and bonded or elastic underbands complete the internal construction menu.

Finishes across all bases: moisture-wicking, quick-dry, anti-pill, brushed interior, and Pantone-matched custom dyeing.

Design Menu

Styles, Support Levels & Customization

Every element below is open spec — mix them into the exact bra your collection needs.

  • Impact levels: low, medium, and high impact support engineered through fabric weight, lining, and band construction
  • Silhouettes: racerback, cross-back, strappy-back, longline, high-neck, one-shoulder, and zip-front designs
  • Construction types: compression, encapsulation, or combined compression-encapsulation builds
  • Cups & pads: removable pads, sewn-in pads, or molded cups for shape and coverage
  • Bands & closures: wide elastic underbands, bonded bands, hook-and-eye or front-zip closures
  • Straps: adjustable, padded, ruched, or fixed straps in your width and geometry
  • Seams: flatlock, overlock, or bonded seams for chafe-free wear; seamless-knit styles available on request
  • Colors: Pantone matching, colorblocking, contrast piping, and matching-set coordination with your leggings line
  • Sizing: XS–3XL standard grading or fully custom size specs, including plus-size and longline fits
  • Matching sets: coordinated bra-and-leggings capsules developed on one fit block and dye lot

Branding & Decoration Options

PR

Print

All-over dye sublimation on polyester bases, screen printing, reflective and standard heat transfer graphics, and silicone/TPU raised logos that flex with high-stretch panels.

ST

Stitch

Embroidery on bands, straps, and stable panels — we’ll advise honestly where dense stitching doesn’t belong on high-stretch zones, and route those placements to transfer or silicone instead.

LB

Label & Pack

Full private label program: woven or printed labels, heat-pressed tagless prints, custom hangtags, polybags, and retail-ready packaging under your brand.

Choose Your Route

Custom vs Blanks vs Print-on-Demand

Blank Sports Bras

Fast and cheap for logo-only branding, but fits, fabrics, and support constructions are locked to the catalog — and everyone else sells the same bra. Stretch fabrics also limit clean logo application on many blanks.

Print-on-Demand

Zero inventory, but POD can’t produce performance knits, compression builds, power mesh linings, pads, or engineered support. Fine for graphic tees; structurally impossible for a real sports bra program.

Custom Manufacturing

Your fit, your fabric, your construction, your label — a product competitors can’t order from a catalog. At Linushi’s 30-piece MOQ, custom stops being the “later” option and becomes the launch option.

Questions, Answered

Sports Bra Manufacturing FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for custom sports bras?

Our MOQ is 30 pieces per style as a sports bra manufacturer, which can be split across sizes and colorways within the same design. This lets new fitness brands test a launch collection without committing to the 150–500 piece minimums common elsewhere.

How much does it cost to manufacture custom sports bras?

Pricing depends on fabric composition and GSM, support construction such as linings, pads and closures, decoration methods, order volume, and packaging. We quote each project individually — send your reference images or tech pack and we will respond with itemized pricing.

Do I need a tech pack to start production?

No. A tech pack speeds things up, but you can also start with reference photos, sketches, or a physical sample you want to improve. Our team can develop the full tech pack, pattern, and size grading for you as part of the sampling process.

How long do sampling and bulk production take?

Sampling takes 7–14 days per round, and most sports bra programs are approved within 2–3 rounds. Bulk production runs 3–5 weeks after sample approval, depending on quantity and decoration complexity, plus shipping time to your destination.

What fabrics and GSM do you recommend for sports bras?

Most programs use nylon-spandex around 80/20 or polyester-spandex main fabrics in the 180–260 GSM range, with power mesh linings of roughly 120–170 GSM for structure. Heavier, higher-spandex knits suit high impact styles, while lighter brushed fabrics suit low impact and studio designs.

Can you produce sports bras under my own brand label?

Yes. We run a full private label program: woven or printed neck labels, care labels, hangtags, polybags, and custom retail packaging are all handled in-house, and your designs, patterns, and branding remain your intellectual property.

Do you ship to the USA, UK, and Europe?

Yes. We ship worldwide with DHL, FedEx, and UPS express options as well as air and sea freight for larger volumes. Most express shipments reach the USA, UK, and Europe within 3–7 days of dispatch, with tracking provided.

What is the difference between low, medium, and high impact sports bras?

Impact level describes how much bounce control a bra provides. Low impact styles use lighter compression for yoga and walking; medium impact adds firmer fabric and defined cups for gym training and cycling; high impact combines dense 15–25% spandex knits, power mesh linings, wider bands, and adjustable closures for running and HIIT.
