Custom Development

Your Custom Hoodie Manufacturer — Not a Blank Relabeler

A true hoodie manufacturer builds your garment from raw fabric to retail-ready piece — your pattern, your GSM, your trims — instead of printing a logo on someone else’s blank.

That difference is everything for a brand. Blanks lock you into another company’s fit and fabric; custom cut and sew production gives you a drop-shoulder oversized silhouette nobody else sells, a hand-feel your customers remember, and construction details that justify a premium price point. Send us a tech pack, a reference sample, or even a sketch with measurements — our tech pack services team turns it into a factory-ready spec before a single panel is cut.

Every hoodie ships under your label with your patterns and artwork protected as your intellectual property. You own the design; we just build it properly.

Fabric Engineering

Hoodie Fabrics & GSM Options

Fabric weight is the single biggest quality signal in a hoodie. We help you match GSM to your market and price point instead of guessing.

FT

French Terry · 280–320 GSM

Smooth face, unbrushed loop back. Breathable, drapes cleanly, and takes crisp screen and DTG prints — the year-round choice for spring/summer drops and athleisure lines. 100% combed cotton or 80/20 cotton-poly.

BF

Brushed Fleece · 350–400 GSM

Napped interior traps warmth and gives embroidery a full, dimensional finish. This is the standard streetwear hoodie weight — structured enough to hold an oversized silhouette without collapsing.

UH

Ultra-Heavyweight · 450–500 GSM

Dense, jacket-adjacent fleece for premium and luxury-positioned drops. Boxy structure, serious hand-feel, and the weight customers instinctively read as quality when they pick it up.

All fabrics are pre-shrunk before cutting — untreated cotton French terry can shrink 3–5% in the first wash, so we control it at the fabric stage, not on your customer’s body. Finishes include enzyme wash, garment dyeing, and vintage acid wash treatments, with organic and recycled compositions available on request.

Made to Your Spec

Hoodie Styles, Fits & Customization

Every construction detail below is decided by you and locked in your spec sheet — nothing defaults to a factory standard.

  • Fits: classic, slim, relaxed, oversized boxy with drop shoulders, and cropped women’s patterns — custom graded XS–5XL.
  • Closures: pullover, full-zip, and half-zip builds with branded zipper pullers and YKK-grade hardware.
  • Hood construction: double-lined hoods, contrast or self-fabric lining, crossover neck panels, and hidden-hood collars.
  • Pockets: kangaroo pouch, split front, concealed zip, and welt pocket options with reinforced bar-tacks.
  • Cuffs & hem: 1×1 or 2×2 ribbing in matching dye lots, raw-edge hems, and woven hem tags.
  • Drawstrings: flat or round cords with metal, silicone, or dipped tips — color-matched or contrast.
  • Color: Pantone-matched piece dyeing or garment dyeing, plus contrast panels and colorblocking.
  • Stitching: double-needle coverstitched shoulders and hems, flatlock seams, and contrast-thread topstitching.

Branding & Decoration for Custom Hoodies

PR

Print

Screen printing, puff and high-density inks, DTG printing for full-color art, and heat transfer vinyl for numbers and crisp graphics — matched to your fabric’s face.

ST

Stitch

Flat and 3D puff embroidery, chenille patches, and appliqué — the finishes that read as premium on brushed fleece and hold up wash after wash.

LP

Label & Pack

Custom woven neck labels, care labels, hangtags, and retail-ready poly or eco packaging — full private label on every order.

Inside the Factory

How Hoodie Manufacturing Works

Tech Pack & Spec

We translate your tech pack, reference garment, or sketch into a full spec sheet — measurements, GSM, trims, and decoration placements, all confirmed before cutting.

Fabric & Costing

Fabric is sourced and pre-shrunk to your composition and weight, lab dips are matched to your Pantones, and you receive transparent per-piece costing.

Sampling & Fit

A sewn sample lands with you in 7–14 days per round. You check fit, hand-feel, and decoration; most builds are approved within 2–3 rounds.

Bulk, QC & Ship

Bulk runs 3–5 weeks with inline and endline inspection — measurement checks, seam strength, print durability — then express dispatch with tracking.

Honest Comparison

Custom Hoodies vs Blanks vs Print-on-Demand

POD

Print-on-Demand

Zero inventory risk and fine for testing a slogan or graphic. But per-unit costs are the highest of any model, margins stay thin, and the garment underneath is identical to thousands of other stores’.

BLK

Decorated Blanks

Cheaper per piece and faster than POD at volume. The catch: you inherit someone else’s fit, fabric, and label, so your “brand” is really a print — easy for any competitor to copy next week.

CUT

Custom Cut & Sew

Your pattern, your fabric weight, your labels — a product that is actually yours. Historically this required 200–500 piece minimums; at Linushi it starts at 30 pieces per design.

If POD or blanks validated your idea, that work is done — the 30-piece MOQ exists so the jump to a real custom product doesn’t require gambling your whole budget on one drop.

Answers Up Front

Hoodie Manufacturing FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for custom hoodies?

Linushi is a hoodie manufacturer with a 30-piece minimum order per design and colorway. That is low enough to test a first drop or run a limited collection without overstocking, and you can scale reorders as sales data comes in.

How much does it cost to manufacture custom hoodies?

Pricing depends on fabric weight and composition, fit complexity, decoration methods, trims, order quantity, and shipping terms. Heavier GSM fabrics use more yarn and cost more, and techniques like puff print or 3D embroidery add per-piece cost. Send your tech pack or reference images for an exact quote — every custom build is priced individually.

What GSM is best for a hoodie?

Most everyday hoodies sit between 300 and 400 GSM. Choose 280–320 GSM French terry for breathable year-round wear, 350–400 GSM brushed fleece for standard streetwear weight, and 450–500 GSM for premium heavyweight drops. Below 280 GSM the body drapes more like a long-sleeve tee than a hoodie.

Should I choose French terry or fleece for my hoodie line?

French terry has an unbrushed loop back — lighter, more breathable, and it takes crisp screen and DTG prints. Brushed fleece traps more warmth and gives embroidery a fuller, dimensional finish. Many brands run French terry for spring and summer drops and switch to brushed fleece for fall and winter collections.

Do I need a tech pack to start production?

No. A tech pack speeds up sampling, but you can also send reference photos, a sample garment, or a simple sketch with measurements. Our team builds the full spec sheet with you before cutting, so nothing goes into production unconfirmed.

How long do sampling and bulk production take?

Each sample round takes 7–14 days depending on fabric availability and decoration complexity, and most builds are approved within 2–3 rounds. Bulk production typically runs 3–5 weeks after sample approval, plus express shipping of roughly 4–7 business days to the USA, UK, and Europe.

Can you produce hoodies under my own label?

Yes. Every order is full private label: your woven neck labels, care labels, hangtags, custom drawstring tips, zipper pullers, and retail-ready packaging. Your designs, patterns, and artwork remain your intellectual property — we never reuse or resell client designs.

Do you ship finished hoodies to the USA, UK, and Europe?

Yes. We ship worldwide, with DHL and FedEx express as the standard for the USA, UK, and European Union — full tracking and complete customs documentation included. Economy freight options are available for larger bulk orders where transit speed matters less.
